It was a good weekend for Team Wilson at Floors Castle.
Bulana, owned by Mr James Lambert and Mrs Jo Lambert, missed out by the narrowest of margins of taking the top place in the Cazenove CIC** competition. After posting a good dressage mark and a double clear, Nicola and the mare had to settle for second place. Not to be outdone, Ngong Hills owned and bred by Mrs Gilly Guthrie and Mrs Juliette Alers-Hankey took 4th place.
Of the younger horses, Ballinagore Coal, owned by the Lamberts was placed 3rd in a Novice section, while it was first time out for a number of the babies in the BE 100 competition, all going extremely well and bringing home a number of rosettes.
“I really enjoy competing at Floors Castle”, says Nicola, “the whole event is just fantastic, with the cross-country course run over parkland you can always depend on excellent footing, together with Ian Stark being the course-builder, you can expect cross-country courses that are up to height, require bold riding but educational for horses at all levels”.
